System Analysis and Engineering Support

A field operating location under Air Force Medical Evaluation Support Activity (AFMESA) currently functioning out of Port San Antonio, TX. Fort Detrick, MD, AFMESA directly manages and provides program management support to the test bed. The AFMISTB is equipped and staffed to conduct all AFMS/IM/IT test and evaluation activities required to determine operational performance, effectiveness, and suitability.

AFMS ICD-10 Transition Program Office
Subject Matter Expertise and Healthcare Administration

Providing ICD-10 coding subject matter expertise and healthcare administration support to establish an AFMS ICD-10 Transition Program Office and governance structure, conduct coding capabilities and gap analysis, develop training and communication strategies, and manage implementation AFMS-wide. Also serves as the Air Force Liaison in collaboration with external agencies (Defense Health Agency, Tri-Service Workflow, U.S. Navy Bueau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED), Patient Administration Systems and Biostatistics Activity (PASBA), Deloitte, 3M and Precyse).

HIPAA
Health Information Compliance Specialist

Provides operational planning, execution and evaluation of all HIPAA Privacy and Security programs throughout the 74 Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) military treatment facilities worldwide.  Functioning under AFMOA, our Subject Matter Experts additionally serve as AFMOAs principal liaison with external agencies (Air Force Medical Support Agency, Defense Health Agency, and Department of Human and Health Services) in compliance with the HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules.
